About the Role

We are looking for an insightful and experienced professional to join our rapidly expanding technology team as a Data Architect Manager. In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving robust data architecture and strategies that power data-driven business decisions. Main Responsibilities

• Lead the design and maintenance of enterprise-wide data architecture solutions, ensuring alignment with organisational business objectives and technology standards.
• Develop and manage data models (conceptual, logical, and physical) to ensure data integrity, quality, and accessibility across all systems.
• Collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders to define data governance policies and frameworks for effective data management and compliance.
• Champion data strategy initiatives, evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions that support scalable, secure, and sustainable data platforms.
• Oversee the implementation of data integration, migration, and transformation processes, supporting analytics and reporting needs.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to data engineering, analytics, and business intelligence teams.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of regulatory obligations for data security and privacy, ensuring adherence to all internal and external standards.
• Prepare and present data structure solutions, recommendations, and roadmaps to technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in data architecture, data modelling, or related data management roles within complex business environments.
• Strong understanding of modern database technologies (relational, NoSQL, cloud-based), data warehousing, and ETL pipelines.
• Track record of successfully implementing and evolving data governance and data quality programmes.
• Hands-on expertise with data modelling tools, data integration frameworks, and database performance optimisation.
• Solid grasp of data privacy legislation and regulatory compliance (such as GDPR).
• Excellent communication skills—able to articulate sophisticated data concepts to both technical stakeholders and business users.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing technical teams or mentoring data professionals.
• Portuguese and/or Spanish (intermediate + level); English (intermediate + or higher)

Education and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field (required).
• Substantial experience leading data architecture, design, and implementation projects (required).
• Certifications related to cloud data platforms, data modelling, or data architecture (such as DAMA, CDMP, cloud solutions) are highly desirable.
• Solid background working in multidisciplinary teams and agile environments is an advantage.
