Goldenergy is recruiting a Sustainable Energy Business Developer!
This person will be responsible for identifying, structuring, and driving proprietary biomethane and hydrogen projects, as well as monitoring projects under development or in operation in Portugal, ensuring their technical, economic, regulatory, and commercial viability, in alignment with the company’s decarbonization and growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and structure own projects (define set-up, identify areas of work, define budget and timing) in cooperation with local origination

• Identify potential partners and lead establishment of partnership

• Support Valuation & Risk in setting up valuation models, tools and input data

• Know how to move between local and regional administration for getting environmental license and permitting

• Identify, select and contractualise external suppliers (e.g. experts)

• Manage suppliers, service providers and project teams

• Ensure progress according to time-line and adherence to budgets

• Prioritise projects with an eye to overall portfolio

• Prepare requests for own projects and assist Local Project Developers for their requests

• Keep Business Models updated

Profile Required:

• Proven experience in business development, sales or commercial roles within the energy sector.

• Strong commercial acumen with experience preparing proposals, negotiating contracts and closing deals.

• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders across public and private sectors.

• Knowledge of energy market dynamics, relevant regulations and incentive schemes in the national market.

• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.

• Self-driven, results-oriented and comfortable working in a fast-growing environment; able to prioritise and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.

• Degree in engineering, business, energy management or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
